OH, I was going to have them !!
Some nice stuff and some low estimated price's, but me thinks that is just to get people through the door to pay the entrance/reg/brochure prices. |

Maybe it shows how the asking prices of some of these Bimotas are not what the market actually values them at.
With the buyers permioum and all things considered the prices seem "about right" in my eyes.
But im a newbie |

Have seen 2 or 3 Bim SB1 touted on foreign sites over the last 12 months .. usually around the €20k mark. The £12.6k for the SB1 sold here therefore looks reasonable for such a rare bike and it is just SO 'right' looking. Don't know what spares situation for the engine would be though? _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

A lot of stuff in Italy always seems kind of high priced...old folk trying to get their money back and holding out...for years and years......speaks of the issue of going to auction with a bike....it needs at least 2 interested people to get a high price....and YB and SB1 were owned by a Brit in Yorkshire...limited appeal to me at least...although nice trinkets for sure....yeh...you can daylight MOT them and ride.....but both bikes have the kickstart crankcases blanked off...so its a rear wheel starter machine or bump starting every time....and I've seen YB1's 2's and 3's and SB1's in the flesh doing classic race meets at Spa Francorchamps and other places...beautiful things but ultra ultra tiny...and not for my frame for sure...theres a reason they won races....they were better than Yamaha or Suzuki race bikes due to frames, suspension and brakes....but also due to bimota lightness...2-strokes are all about total mass to go fast...plenty of spares availability though due to classic racing for the engines.....all remade by others...like the Classic TT...none of them are original bikes...all remanufactured MV's etc etc... |
