Thanks, Brian! I still can't believe how it turned out. Rode it to work today because I can't get enough (finished it on Friday). Soon it'll be time to see how quick it is around Laguna Seca. _________________ '85 Bimota DB1R (S2R donor)

Shame on me for not mentioning this forum? I hope you’re joking. Anyway, thanks for the kind words! I’m really happy with how it turned out. Now for the 858 cc big bore kit I have on the shelf... _________________ '85 Bimota DB1R (S2R donor)

That looks GREAT.
So easy to mess up the looks of a bike but the tube single side swing arm looks right at home.
One hell of a build though looking through all the pictures !!
That took some commitment !! |

Thanks, guys! Apologies for not mentioning everyone and anyone who contributed over the last 5.5 years but I could write a book if that were the case. I wanted to offer some informtation at the show it was entered in on Saturday and getting it all to fit on a single page while remaining legible was challenging enough.
I hope people see the passion I put into the build but I also welcome critisism if it holds water. (It seems some people like to point out any defect they can find, an interesting phenomenon.) I wanted it to be as good, or better than, what Bimota did back in the day while using some of today’s technology when it was suitable (like carbon wheels but keep them black to match the DB1 race bikes).
Please know I greatly appriciate the insight offered here. The drawings, pictures, and technical knowledged shared was most valuable. _________________ '85 Bimota DB1R (S2R donor)
