Nice bit of kit...
Be interested to see how it looks fitted.
The Dieci is up on stands at the moment as I get to know it - oil, filters, battery, tyres, pads etc. Everything under the tank looks v. clean and in good nick.
Having fun sorting out the join between the Yamaha exhaust collector and the Bimota link pipe/end can. That's the only serious corrosion on the bike - I guess the join was the original, but it was pretty amateurish with a load of exhaust matting. Seemed at odds with some of the elegant solutions elsewhere on the bike. Also took the can apart to see why it was so heavy! I'll post some pics of the subsequent surgery, but suffice it to say she should sound a bit more assertive but look standard...
Booked in with the local expert for a carb tuning session in July.
Cheers

Congrats on the new bike, i doubt the muffler/collector junction is factory, on my YB5, there is a steel insert in the muffler to reduce the diameter to match the yamaha pipes. _________________ Cheers

Looks great. I didn't see the 4screw opening. Is it something you need to drill? I'd like to see it on the bike. Thanks for the pic _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Thats nice enough to grace the back of any Bimota...seems quality....and when you pick them up you are amazed they dont rip apart first time down the road...so so light.....yeh...normally painted on the YB10...but normally carbon and not painted on just about every other bimota made...I'd leave as is...will take some getting used to living with the difference to the eye |

Hi
I had to drill the mounting holes myself. Not something I enjoyed doing, but managed to get them in useful positions.
Ordered on the 29th May and arrived yesterday.
Not weighed it but feels lighter than the original and also feels stronger (material looks thicker).
I could probably do with buying some larger headed button head 4mm bolts to hold it on.
All the best

I drilled the holes to 4.5mm to give a small amount of wiggle room.
I have a front mudguard as well, but that is grp and will need painting. No hurry for that but as I was paying the postage thought it was worth ordering
All the best

Do you not fancy the NOS painted Dieci YB10 front mudguard for sale that I posted up?? £60 including postage???...Or could be £40 if the seller hasn't posted out the items I've bought recently and could be added into my care package...? |

I also like the stock color of the front (and rear) fender. Gives it a finished look. i am a bit torn in buying aftermarket fairings and painting them white and red... Kate, please post a pic with the rear CF hugger on the bike. _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10
