Hi Guys,
I know, 900s has this breather boxes on their carburators.
My DB2 had this, but I couldn't remember where. Everything is running fine, but I want to install them as origin.
This is what I'm asking for :

These are from my DB2. I want to know, where this boxes are mounted official.
On my 900SS I know it.
https://c.gmx.net/@337179720590295221/LFQ0TQnXSD2vjUGhOWuoiA
Its left side on the frame.
Could someone send me a sketch, where to mount them on a DB2.
AND: I've heart, that the length of the tubes is a bit important. What would be the overall length of each tube, including the filters ?
kind regards

Hi rolli, I think I saw discussion elsewhere on this. Ie these are only breather boxes. Not sure if fitted to all DB2s and as thet are very cramped anyway on the DB2 I think many people take them off even if fitted. There are two screw bosses on either side of frame (the other side of where the fairing mounts screw in) and the breather/catch tanks are bolted there. If you still want I can take a photo of them fitted. _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with!

Only fitted to American specification DB2's....as "emissions" need to be captured in plastic boxes/bottles....you can feed them to the airbox....or just put the carb and tank overflow lines down the RHS crankcase covers exiting through the belly pan slots...length not critical....just keep the outlets away from hot pipes or the back tyre |

Mine are on a Japanese market model. Also fitted there then? _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

Yesterday I visited a friend. He has a absolute original DB2. And I found these boxes in original location. Basicly at a Ducati 900ss this pair is mounted left side at the frame.
For Bimota DB2 one box is mounted left and the other is mounted right side at the frame. It is a M6 Srew inside of the fairing screw (the upper one)
This boxes are not really "very" important, but there must be a reason (Why also Ducati uses them ) Has nothing to do with emission. It should keep the small pressure from carburators more stabile.

Possibly so Rolli…….my DB2 though has Keihin Flatslides and an electric fuel pump....so no hoses and no catch boxes anywhere |
